

Our third quarter of elective options begins Jan. 28th and includes:
LifeSkills at Danebo--This class will be conducted at Danebo Elementary with special needs students. If you're thinking about a career in special education, this would be an excellent starting point. (Instructor approval required.) AM offering, high school only.
Film as Literature II--A one quarter look into film, and its literary elements. The quarter will be spent watching film and analyzing its literary style and quality. The goal is to recognize and examine the artistic side of film, as opposed to purely entertainment. AM offering, high school only.
Baking and Cooking--The emphasis will be on cake decorating although cooking the weekly lunch will also be included. $10-20 material fee per student. (Instructor approval required.) AM offering, high school only.
Math Tutorial--Students needing extra help for math classes are invited to spend part of the morning elective working with Mrs. English on a one-on-one basis.
Bowling at Strike City--Strike City has graciously agreed to permit us to bowl two games per week for $2.00 per game with shoes provided at no charge. Professional bowlers will be available for instruction. The goal is to allow students to have fun, get some physical activity, and improve their bowling skills. Class fee $32 per student. AM offering, high school only.
Advanced Sewing--Focus will be on quilting, a personally chosen project and putting together a sewing notebook for future reference. Beginning students considered. (Instructor approval required.) PM offering.
Blood, Guts and Popcorn--This class will examine a different war every week via movies. (No film will be above a PG rating due to war violence.) Bring your popcorn and prepare yourself for a weekly adventure of viewing award winning classic films. PM offering, grades 6-12.
Portraiture--Chuck North is an artist who specializes in pencil, pen and ink, watercolor and acrylic paintings. He will concentrate on portraits in watercolor, with time spent learning to draw, and use a projector to transfer an image from photo to watercolor paper. PM offering, grades 6-12.
Production Drama--This is a full semester class. This class will work on the Spring Production. (Instructor approval required.) PM offering.
Outdoor Activities/Cooking--Students will rotate time in the kitchen every other week with outdoor activities. PM offering, grades 6-12.
